Under 16s

NWSHA offers Under 16 players the opportunity to play representative hockey at the HNSW Field Hockey State Championships in Orange (boys) and the Illawarra (girls). A schedule of events that is targetted at providing valuable representative playing experiences and at best preparing our teams for the state championships has been developed.

Team trials

All NWSHA players who wish to nominate to trial for a representative team are required to read and accept the following policies:

Nominations for a 2025 Under 16 Representative team are now open and can be completed online here. Please note that there is a small charge of $10 required to finalise and submit your nomination.

In the event that you are unable to attend a trial, a NWSHA Request for Exemption needs to be submitted. Exemption conditions can be found in the NWSHA Representative Player Trial / Selection Agreement (section 7) - applications must be received at least 48 hours prior to the selected trial. Submission of a request for exemption can not be considered as approval for non-attendance. 

Selected Teams will be posted here once trials are completed.

 

General Information
  • The Team Manager will beome the main source of detailed information for the team once it has been named. Prior to this and for any other general enquiries, please email info@nswha.com.au
  • Travel - Parents are responsible for all travel arrangements to and from scheduled events for junior players.
  • Accomodation - is not organised at tournaments for junior NWSHA teams this year. Parents are required to make all necessary accomodation requirements for their children.
  • Uniforms - NWSHA provides playing shirts for all selected team members. These form part of the playing uniform  for all carnivals / tournaments and will be collected by the Team Manager at the end of the last event. All other components of the team uniform are required to be purchased - further information is available in the NWSHA online shop.
